STAY AWAY OF THIS PLACE – VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!! The location is great, and this is the only positive thing with this apartment. On the apartment’s list it says there is heating in the apartment. In fact when we were there it was 10celsius outside during the nights, when we arrived there was around 16celsius in the apartment. There is a small old airco but only in the bedroom (you can not sleep in the living room because the airco is on the balcony and its very very noisy! So you have to switch it off if you want to use the living room! The windows are very old and 1 layer of glass, so the cold can come in easily… If the host would have turned on the airco 2 days before we arrived probably it would be a better temperature inside, but noone turned it on so it was cold, very cold… I had to sleep in a hat and my Mom got cold. The floors were cold as ice! The host did not care too much even I immedeately asked for help, it was weekend so I got short answers after half a day to turn on the airco ( I did 1minute after we arrived..). Strange because there are radiators in the apartment, the only problem they are not working neither can be swtiched on. Booking .com did not help me either solving this problem , even I called and talked to them twice. There are two big holes in the bathroom and in the toilet floor and strange yellow flow on the toilet door.. If you dont like cold do not book this apartment from October to May because you will get sick definetly! You also have to place a 500 euro deposit before getting the keys! Host is dealing with too many apartment I guess, this why they dont have time to answer and solve the problems. Booking sent me a 19euro voucher because of the cold, what is a joke, I dont even comment this… Like paying for a 200 euro dinner where the meals are ice cold, then they offer you a glass of beer at the end… I dont recommend this place and this host.
We had a bit of an unexpected situation during our stay — we accidentally left the apartment key at a nearby café the night before checkout and couldn’t retrieve it until 9 AM. As a result, we weren’t able to access the apartment overnight. Despite this hiccup, the hosts were incredibly kind and understanding. They generously offered us a late checkout, which really helped us out. The apartment itself was comfortable and well-located, and we appreciated the flexibility and hospitality shown by the owners. Would definitely recommend staying here!
STAY AWAY! They knowingly rented us a unit on the ground floor with a broken window that had sharp glass right beside the bed. THE WORST PART? (update: the posted a fake reply and YET AGAIN blew us off when we tried to attain any compensation. They also kept the full amount when only $1,000 was the deposit. So liars and thieves.) 1. They KNEW they rented us the unit this way because they told us in writing (see screen grabs of conversation in WhatsApp) that the tenants before us broke the window. 2. We picked up the keys from a lockbox, when we saw the window no one answered our calls or returned our messages via Whatsapp that night. So we had to cancel the reservation and pay for alternative accommodations. Hence we asked for a refund. They refused our request and kept our money €1,186.81. 3. They stated again in writing they considered this a "safe" accommodation (again see screen grab) 4. We were sent out of office messages dated for January of 2023, this happened in June of 2024. 5. When we did get someone to talk to us on the call, they said they had to call us back. Which they didn't, then they refused to take any future calls. 6. When we finally got someone to talk to us on WhatsApp they simply kept stalling saying weeks in a row "Our manager is out till next week." 7. Booking called on our behalf and their manager started yelling at the booking representative. Booking has since told me that they have filed their own internal complaint based on how the manager of the property handled the situation with them. UPDATE: The Response from the Owner posted below is for show. They had multiple chances through countless phone calls between myself and Booking.com to offer a resolution prior to us posting this review. They have not gotten back to us when we tried to contact them in regards to their comments below. So they STILL kept all of our money (the full amount of the charge which is beyond the €1,000 deposit that was all that was due from cancellation). So they lie in addition to treat clients poorly and show little respect for the property itself. Read the reviews on their Booking listing. SURE WISH WE WOULD HAVE BEFORE BOOKING! This is consistent with other reviews from many other guests.
On 08.29.2023 at 5pm as soon as we entered the apartment we realized how dirty it was in every point and the floor was sticky. I immediately contacted the property manager and told me that it was not possible to send anyone to clean the apartment. Rude staff, not at all helpful and liars. Place to avoid even as a last choice. P.S. they ask for a deposit of 350 euros for the delivery of the keys
The property we rented was very nice (22 Rue Verdi) but I was not informed in advance of the 200€ mandatory deposit. One of their employees provided good service and helped us by lowering the deposit to 100€ (since we were not informed and were unprepared to pay it). In previous days I asked how the check out + deposit process was via email and I was told to leave the apartment at 9.30am so they did the review at that time and I could be at the agency to give the keys and pick up the deposit after 10am. This was not respected, and when we got to the agency at about 10.15am they told us the maid was very busy because had many apartments to check. We said we needed to leave to the airport and another employee was very patronizing and he simply told us to come back in 1hr for it. Is logical that they needed to make sure the apartment was ok, but it would be better to do it at the agreed check out hour so you can actually leave when you give back the keys. So, don't plan a quick departure after check out if you leave the deposit in cash.
