TL;DR: Inconvenient Airbnb experience with unexpected extra charges. I recently stayed for a week in a property in Golfe-Juan through Interhome. Instead of having the key available at the property, we had to pick it up from their office in Cannes, resulting in an inconvenient one-hour round trip. Communication was poor; we were informed via email that a €48 deposit was required for towels and linen. However, upon returning from our holiday, we were told this was an additional charge on top of our stay. The only redeeming qualities were the property's good location for transport and the friendliness and helpfulness of the local residents.
I have not even stayed on the place yet, and already it's a nightmare to deal with!! Except no linen or towels, staff are a nightmare and rude. I'd rather sleep under the stars than to deal with these people!!!!
Appartment was great and the staff managed to get the keys earlier than expected that was perfect
I came for a week end the appartement we have rented was great and the staff of the agency very welcoming
I FELT DUPED. Made a reservation for an apartment in Antibes, was requested non refundable advance payment and only AFTER did Interhome tell me that keys had to be collected in Cannes, that is ... another town! I have rented many apartments but NEVER have I witnessed a situation of this kind.
