The property is exactly as shown in the listing. It’s compact, but very tastefully decorated, and has everything you need! The location is perfect for accessing restaurants, cafes, attractions. The management team provided excellent service with fast effective responses. I would absolutely recommend this property, and will stay here again when I return to Bordeaux!

We stayed for a couple of days at the beginning of February, the location is very central and the apartment is in a building where the apartment windows overlook a small street, so you have a great combination! City center and a quiet place to sleep and relax, you can’t hear the sounds of parties. This apartment is a find for the professional traveler)

We stayed for 3 months, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is excellent; most of the important places in Bordeaux are within walking distance or easily accessible by tram. Despite being situated in the city center, the apartment is surprisingly quiet. The only noise I noticed was the cheerful chatter of children in the mornings. However, you should be aware that the apartment is on the 5th floor, and the elevator only goes up to the 4th floor. If you have heavy luggage, you will need to carry it up by hand. Additionally, if you are tall, be mindful of the exposed wooden beams to avoid bumping your head. That said, the sunlight and the beautiful sky more than make up for these minor inconveniences. And, as with any long-term stay in France, you should be prepared to adapt to the French way of life.

The reality can be very different from GuestReady's photos online. I booked an apartment at 33 bis cours de la Martinique for two nights. It was not cheap and on top of that they ask for a security deposit. Since the reviews were very good, I decided to comply with the demands. The pictures were nice, the description showed that it is what we needed. However, when we came to the apartment, it was in a terrible condition: the shower booth is broken, the whole apartment is dirty, smelly, and way too hot due to the open window shutter on a very hot day. The noise isolation was so bad that we heard everyone walking on the stairs and each step of the neighbors upstairs was so loud like if they were jumping up there. On top of that the door lock was not working. Only after several calls to the property manager, I learnt that in fact I had to pull the handle all the way up just to turn the key in the lock. Every call to the property manager takes at least five minutes of waiting and listening to their music. Sometimes you have to wait for 10 minutes just to ask what you should do with all this mess. Obviously we had to cancel the booking, which also took a very long time due to the numerous repetitive calls like "please cancel this and give me my money back". In the end, we just went to a regular chain hotel, which was a lot more comfortable, cleaner, quieter, nothing was broken, and even cheaper. For all those who consider GuestReady as a potential place to say, please think twice. This GuestReady thing can ruin your day and instead of exploring the city you will be on your phone and look for a hotel.
